No ads, no trackers, and nothing you do here is sold. An account is optional — the basic tools work without one.
An account stores your username and a salted, hashed password — passwords are never stored in plain text. No email address is collected, which also means there is no password reset: if you forget your password, the account cannot be recovered. Profile details you add (display name, bio, colors, avatar, status) are public on your profile page.
When you ask Six something — in AI chat, the homework helper or the study assistant — what you type or upload (including screenshots) is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) to generate the answer. Do not put anything into an AI chat that you would not want an AI service to process.
Public rooms are visible to everyone in them. Private rooms delete themselves when everyone leaves, and chat messages live in memory rather than a database. Voice and video calls are peer-to-peer: the person you are talking to can see your device's IP address, which is how peer-to-peer calling works everywhere.
The network fetches pages, games and files from the internet on your behalf, so those sites talk to the network's server instead of directly to your device. Downloads are fetched by the server and passed through to you.
If you log in, a session cookie keeps you signed in for 30 days. A separate one-year cookie remembers that you have opened the workspace from the homepage. Display preferences (like your sky choice) are saved on your own device only.
A student, as a personal project. There is no company behind it and no advertising or analytics network attached to it.
